Clearly this small but high quality drill/driver appears to be a very popular choice for some people. Right off the bat it uses Li-Ion batteries and that in itself makes this a good product.
When you combine that with a number of interesting features, you can see why this model is attracting such great reviews and ratings. It is as light as a feather and is also compact which means you can use it confined spaces, or areas that are difficult to work in.

Who Would Buy the Einhell TE-CD 12?
This would be bought by anyone who needs a small and compact drill/driver to be able to do the normal tasks around the home. With many of the smaller 12 volt drill/drivers the main problem is that they are easily damaged.
With this one it is very well made and as tough as anything out there. That alone got us interested in this one and we have to say we were impressed.
Another problem with most 12 volt drills is that they just don't generate enough power or indeed enough torque. Now we are not saying that this one will do any job, but it will do all of the main jobs that need done around the home.
The German based company have made a very nice product with this particular model.
The most reassuring thing about buying this product is that it is their best rated cordless drill and that is according to the reviews left by people who have actually bought and used this product. That should give you some assurance that this is a good product, from a very good brand.
In terms of value for money though, this one is very well made, and with two high quality batteries, you will own a nice compact drill/driver.

Features Worth A Mention
Great Batteries that Charge Quickly
This drill uses the much better Lithium-Ion batteries and that instantly makes it a superior drill when compared to one that used the older Ni-CD type. When you have two of these Li-Ion batteries along with a charger that can deliver a full charge in an hour, then you need never worry about your drill running out of power.
Einhell offer a 2-year warranty on their cordless drill/drivers which is very good. This one also has a nice range of torque settings, an automatic spindle lock and also an LED light, great for working in any poorly lit areas.
Main Review of the Einhell TE-CD 12
We bought this one just to try it out as we are not huge fans of anything that is powered by 12 volts. We were however surprised by this model as it packed quite a punch.
Even on the tougher jobs like screwing into hard woods, this one performed really well. For something so small and compact it did pack a powerful punch.
Depending on the job you are doing, there are a number of useful settings. There is no hammer drill setting on this model so not suitable for getting through brick or concrete.
There is a full range of 18 torque settings that allow you to set different strengths for most of your other drilling and driving needs.
I don't recommend many products unless I have tried and tested them. I have used this one quite a few times and it is a good drill for people to have around the home, that need something to get all the household jobs completed.
